These six photographs from Havana spent their turn on the home page and now live here. Most were made in Old Havana and Centro Habana as the light faded: a bartender seen through a window lettered “Cuba vivo y trabajo,” a blue classic car on a wet street with the Bacardí Building’s tower against a storm sky, and two men silhouetted in a doorway, reflected in the rain.
The rest are about light: a man stepping into a single shaft of sun in a dark doorway, another pulling a cart under an orange streetlight, and families waiting inside a clinic’s lit entrance late at night. See more from the city in Havana 2024 and Havana 2025.
