Galleries

Most of my work starts at home. South Beach is where I shoot most often: the Art Deco hotels, the lifeguard towers, the beach at sunrise and the neon after dark. Miami goes beyond the beach to Downtown, Brickell and the neighborhoods around them, from the skyline at dusk to the older streets that are changing fast. Street Photography is about people more than places: hard light, reflections and the small moments of city life, mostly in Miami, with some from San Juan, San Francisco, Toronto and Vancouver. More than fifty of my Miami photographs appear in the book Trope: Miami.

The rest of the galleries follow the camera farther from home. Caribbean collects twenty destinations, from repeat visits to Havana and Haiti to quick cruise stops in Nassau, Roatan and Grand Cayman. Travel covers trips farther away: Spain, France, Italy, Greece, Sweden and South Africa, plus Alaska, Charleston, Key West and Los Angeles closer to home. Collections groups work by theme rather than trip, including black and white, landscapes, Little Havana and street art. Wherever I go, I shoot the same way I do in Miami: on foot, looking for good light and everyday life.
