Travel
These galleries come from trips near and far, some planned around photography and some where the camera just came along. There's a week on a cruise ship up Alaska's Inside Passage, shooting glaciers through rain-streaked windows and walking the old Gold Rush streets of Skagway and Ketchikan. There are two days in Barcelona spent mostly in Barceloneta and the Gothic Quarter rather than chasing Gaudí, a weekend in Paris in 2011, and a long weekend in Charleston in 2025 following horse carriages past church steeples and the mansions on the Battery. Closer to home, Key West shows how much of the Caribbean you can find without leaving Florida.
Some trips went further. In 2017 we spent time helping at a school in Cape Town, which led to a visit to the children's community in Masiphumelele and a day among giraffes and white rhinos at a game reserve on South Africa's West Coast. A business trip in 2015 took me to Halmstad, Sweden, and there are galleries from Greece, Capri, Cádiz and Los Angeles too. Wherever I go, I shoot the same way I do at home in Miami: on foot, looking for good light and everyday life. For the islands closer to home, from Havana to Nassau, see the Caribbean galleries.
