These six photographs spent their turn on the home page and now live here. Four were made in downtown Miami, shooting into bright backgrounds so people turned into silhouettes: a woman walking toward a roll-up shutter with her shadow stretched behind her, a man with a backpack passing palm tree shadows on a pale wall, a cyclist stepping out of the shade past a maintenance barrier, and a woman in profile cut out against white.
The other two keep their detail in direct sun. On South Beach, a man walks past a louvered vent while his shadow lands sharp on a white wall. In Nassau, two people in matching black outfits walk away down a brick sidewalk. See more from Nassau in Arawak Cay Nassau Bahamas: A Fish Fry in Frame.
