These are from the early 2000s, from trips that came before most of the other galleries on this site: Guatemala, southern China, Japan and San Francisco. Some of the places look different now. The cameras definitely were.

What's in the gallery

Guatemala: the National Palace in Guatemala City, and the cobblestone streets of Antigua with the Santa Catalina Arch and a volcano behind it. China: back alleys in Guangzhou and a crowded wet market in Hong Kong. Japan: a busy Tokyo shopping street and snow-capped mountains. And San Francisco: a cable car on the hill above Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge in fog.
